ME CFS/ME Medical Center uses all possible means and measures to secure patient data from unauthorized access. ME CFS/ME Medical Center seeks consent from patients for storing personal data when no treatment contract has been concluded. ME CFS/ME Medical Center informs patients about their rights regarding their data. ME CFS/ME Medical Center informs its patients about the purpose of processing personal data. ME CFS/ME Medical Center announces to patients when ME CFVS/ME Medical Center will perform special actions with the personal data.

The personal data we request when you contact us via the website are your name and email address. If you decide to fill out the self-test online, we only ask for data necessary to correctly analyze whether your symptoms correspond to Chronic Fatigue Syndrome according to the criteria of Fukuda et al (1994) with the consensus criteria from 2011 and the Canadian criteria for ME from 2013. We will return the outcome of the questionnaire to the email address you provide. Your personal data will be deleted from our database after one month.

How Long does CVS/ME Medical Center Retains Personal Data

Personal data may be kept only as long as necessary. The retention period depends on the purpose for which we have received or collected the data and any legal obligations to retain data. If you have any questions about this, you can contact info@cvsmemc.nl.

Viewing, Correcting, or Deleting Data

You can access, correct, or delete your personal data. Additionally, you have the right to withdraw your consent or object to the processing your personal data by CVS/ME Medical Center, and you have the right to data portability. You can send a request for access, correction, deletion, or data transfer of your personal data or a request to withdraw your consent or object to processing your personal data to info@cvsmemc.nl. We will respond as soon as possible, but no later than four weeks, to your request.

We would like to inform you that you can file a complaint with the national supervisory authority, the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
